Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Docu Stop mobile application and website (the "Service"). By downloading, accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account.

2. Your Content

  • You retain all rights to the documents and images you process through the Service.
  • By uploading a file, you grant us a limited, temporary license to transmit and process it solely to perform the operation you request. This license ends when processing completes and the file is deleted.
  • You represent that you have the necessary rights to any file you upload, and that your use of the Service does not infringe the rights of any third party.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Process content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory or harmful.
  • Attempt to unlock, decrypt or access documents you do not own or lack authorization to access.
  • Send signature requests that are fraudulent, deceptive or unauthorized.
  • Interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Resell, scrape or bulk-automate the Service without our written permission.

4. E-Signatures

The e-signature feature facilitates electronic signing and provides audit trails. You are responsible for ensuring that electronic signatures are legally appropriate for your specific documents and jurisdiction. We do not provide legal advice.

5. Third-Party Processing and Availability

  • Document and image operations are performed by third-party processing providers, including iLovePDF and CloudConvert. By using the Service you acknowledge that files you submit are transmitted to these providers for processing, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of the Service is also subject to their applicable terms.
  • Docu Stop is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by iLovePDF, CloudConvert or Google.
  • File size limits, processing quotas and feature availability may vary and can change over time.
  • The Service depends on third-party processing infrastructure; we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may suspend the Service for maintenance.

6. Advertising

The mobile app is free to use and displays advertisements served by third-party ad networks (currently Google AdMob), including optional rewarded ads you can watch to earn credits. Ads are clearly distinguishable from app content. We are not responsible for the products or services advertised, and your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and them. Ad-related data practices are described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Credits and Purchases

  • Credits. Cloud-powered tools consume credits; the cost of each tool is shown before you run it. Credits can be earned for free by watching rewarded ads or purchased as credit packs through Apple's App Store in-app purchase system.
  • Delivery. Purchased credits are added to your account shortly after the store confirms the transaction. If a conversion fails after credits were deducted, those credits are automatically returned to your balance.
  • No cash value. Credits are a limited, non-transferable license to use the Service. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred or resold. Credits do not expire while your account remains active.
  • Refunds. Purchases are processed by the app store, and refund requests are handled under the app store's refund policies. Credits already spent on completed conversions are not refundable.
  • Changes. We may change pack contents, prices, per-tool credit costs and the availability of free credit offers at any time; changes do not affect credits you already hold.
  • Account required. Credits are tied to your account. If your account is terminated for violating these Terms, unused credits may be forfeited.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, branding, software and content (excluding your files), is owned by Docu Stop or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from it except as permitted by these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that processing results (including conversions, OCR output or AI summaries) will be error-free or meet your requirements — always review important documents before relying on them.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Docu Stop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm to us or others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8–10) will survive.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a mandatory local law provides otherwise.
